Under general supervision, the instructor will be responsible for providing guidance and instruction necessary to prepare students with the technical competencies essential to the Automotive Technology Diploma and Degree program on the Clarkesville Campus.
The instructor will perform all aspects of instructions for the Automotive Technology Program:
effectively use oral and written communication skills and contain knowledge of current infield procedures, complete all reports and records in a timely manner, maintain accurate inventory of all assigned properties, and maintain qualifications for employment as described by the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) Policy Manual and accreditation standards.
The selected candidate must be able to perform physical activities, such as but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs.
unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, and walking.
The selected candidate must also withstand a variety of indoor and outdoor environmental conditions to include exposure to dirt, dust, grease, machinery with moving pars, chemicals, and fumes is possible in the lab environment.

Minimum Qualifications
Diploma in Automotive Technology or closely related field AND Current ASE certification and related work experience
ASE Certification
Three (3) years related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications, in addition to minimum
Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Automotive Technology or closely related field
Five (5) or more years related work experience.

Experience developing and teaching lessons individually and in classroom environments.

Knowledge of online instruction and gradebooks Salary/

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
